Here are a few Black fairy tale reimaginings that deserve a spot on your TBR.

One of my favorite twists on a classic. Instead of following Princess Tiana’s traditional role, the male main character embodies many of her defining traits: hardworking, ambitious, and relentlessly pursuing his dream in hospitality.

7. Wonder by Christina C. Jones

Quite possibly my favorite reimagining of Alice in Wonderland yet. Set in a post-apocalyptic world with Black characters at the center, this story is adventurous, emotional, and completely unlike anything I expected. This is a bold twist on a classic that delivers!
8. A Blade So Black by L.L. McKinney
ALICE IN WONDERLAND REIMAGINING | GENRE: YOUNG ADULT
This one is about that action! L.L. McKinney transforms Wonderland into a dangerous battleground, creating an exhilarating story with a Black FMC at its center.
