If we’ve talked for even a fraction of time, you know I’m a Jahquel J. fan. I try to play it cool—but my obsession always reveals itself sooner or later.

Jahquel J. has been releasing books for over a decade, but one series stands just a little taller than the rest for me: the DelFerno Series (Delgato / Inferno Gods). I love it so much that I decided to create character maps for each book in the series.

I originally shared these maps on TikTok and Instagram, but I’ve resized them and made them available in PDF format here for easier viewing.

This interconnected saga follows the Delgato and Inferno families across generations of friendships, loyalties, and their simultaneous reign in the NYC streets.

So far, we’ve had four seasons (with more expected to come):

• Quasim / Inferno Gods

The DelFerno world also expands into other Jahquel J. universes, linking with the Caselli, Davis, and Vanducci-Cromwell families.

Jahquel’s command of character growth, arcs, and development is remarkable. Each character—whether central or minor—feels alive, as if you’ve known them personally or crossed paths with them at some point in your life. Through my character map journey, I’ve found it fascinating to track relationships and uncover the many Easter eggs Jahquel drops for her tribe of readers.
